Filterfarm 750

This is a machine purposely designed to filter waste vegetable oil for semi-professionals. It features 4 large canisters, as shown in the image on the left, which give a combined filter area of about 0.750 meters squared. Much of the contamination is wax, which is removed very effectively at flow rates of between 1000 and 5 litres per hour, depending on how clogged up the cartridges are. |
| The photo on the right shows how a very waxy oil can be directly filtered into fuel grade oil (1 micron). With this system there is no longer any need for lengthy settling times or large settling tanks taking up valuable space. |

| When the cartridges are completely full the wax can be scraped off and the cartridges replaced to continue filtration. Clean up your own waste cooking
oil with this machine.
It features a 4 stage filtration and
separation system now shipped with the 10 micron
industrial filter at no extra cost. The unit is
split into two main compartments and has a novel
gravity separation method in the left side with
a percolation take-off that runs into the right
side so that oil is skimmed off the top as it
separates, avoiding the 3 week settling time that
is normally needed. No electricity is needed, although there is an immersion heater now installed in the left hand compartment which can be used to greatly accelerate the settling time.
Unit size is 1m high x 1m wide x 0.5m deep on
a 0.55m stand.
The machine has a very small amount of
consumables and the bag filter is cleanable, with
very low maintenance. Just keep topping it up
with waste oil. Produces a minimum of 10
litres of fuel grade vegetable oil every day,
depending on how clean the filter is, the quality
of the oil and the ambient temperature. In Summer,
with good oil, it can process up to 50 litres

Vegi-Boost combustion enhancer
Vegi-Boost combustion enhancer is available
in 1000ml cans for people to create their own specialty
fuel. It is essential to anybody using vegetable
oil mixed into their diesel and will help protect
both the engine and the environment. The recommended
blend is 20% refined rapeseed oil, 80% diesel. Other blends with waste vegetable oil and petrol may be used, with petrol at 10%. Vegi-boost will compensate for the low cetane value of petrol. 10 % petrol lowers the viscosity of vegetable oil by approximately 50%. |

The glass jar is put into the jug and hot water is used to keep the sample warm or raise the temperature, as necessary.
